Hello Friend, welcome to my blog!

I am so excited for you to be apart of my journey & to share with you all little bit about myself.

My name is Mackenzie Larsen, but you can call me Kenz… or Kenzie. I am 18 years old. My home is Eugene, Oregon… Well actually, It’s Crow, Oregon, a tiny little town that’s right outside of Eugene that no one knows about. A town where everyone knows everyone. I live on a small farm with my mom, dad & two older brothers. Family is very important to me. I have a big extended family and I really enjoy spending time with them any chance I get. There is never a dull moment when we’re all together, it’s so fun and maaaybe just a little crazy.

I am currently finishing up my senior year of High School in a very small school of about 100 students. I am very involved in my school. I play Volleyball, Basketball and Track & Field, participate in the NHS Club, help in the second grade classroom, cheer on other students at school events & participate in many other school activities such as homecoming weeks & lip sync battles. I love hanging out with my classmates and all the perks that come with attending a small school!

I have grown up in a small & beautiful white church that is on top of a hill… it’s like something off a movie. I enjoy spending time helping out my church by teaching the preschool class, helping out in the nursery, being a VBS leader and counselor at church camps as well as being a leader in my youth group. I love how welcoming my church is & how we are all just one big ol’ family. I always look forward to my churches All-Church BBQs & potlucks & annual family camp.

My beautiful church- Crow Applegate Church of the Nazarene.

When I am not participating in school or church activities, you can find me jammin’ out on my ukulele, hanging out with friends & family, binge watching either Gilmore Girls or Bones or doing anything outside. I enjoy spending my time in the beautiful outdoors by going on hikes, camping or taking a mini road trip to some place spontaneous. I love trying new things, Christmas, making people laugh, eating pizookies and second hand/bargain shopping.

Ever since my first mission trip to Tecate, Mexico, I have had a heart for missions. I am beyond excited to be traveling to three different countries to spread the word of God & share with others how amazing He is. I originally had a plan to go to college right out of high school to be an elementary teacher, but God has pressed pause for now and has called me to do the World Race Gap-Year. God is so incredible & has been teaching me so many new things.

Thank you so much so poppin’ in! I cannot wait to take you along with me through this journey & to share with you His amazing works!!
