Salute!

Meet my new home for the next three months… Craiova, Romania!

Isn’t it beautiful?! This is the view I get to wake up to every morning. If only you could press play & hear our very own personal music artist, God. His songs are a mixture of pigeons chirping, creation singing and the busyness of the town with some occasional beat drop of dogs barking. Without the beat drops, it instantly puts me in a good mood & reminds me to say goodmorning to God & simply talk to Him- be in His presence.

Our house couldn’t have been in the most perfect spot! It’s the perfect walking distance to our ministry office, church & our new favorite shops to eat, shop & evangelize! I love it here! Oddly enough, it’s already feeling homey even though it’s only been… well actually, to be honest, I couldn’t tell you how long I’ve been here or what day it is. But it hasn’t been too long! Everything goes by so fast, it’s hard to keep track.

Our ministry has already began!! I recently found out that my team, along with one other team will be staying in Craiova to evangelize to the locals in our community. Our mission is to find a follower. This is someone we will build a relationship with over walks, tea & hanging out over the duration of our time here and begin sharing Jesus Christ with them. This is my two favorite things: making new friends & talking about Jesus!! Our goal is that by the end of our ministry here, we would have started a church with the followers God placed us with. During this time, the other two teams on my squad will be making their way to Draganesti, Romania to start their ministry there!

When we first arrived to Romania, I was homesick. Culture shocked. & Just feeling a little uncomfortable. As time went on, my perspective & feelings changed. It was while I was walking back to the house from ministry & a girl on my team said to me, “Hey, will you take this back home with you?” This is when it hit me. This is our home, my home away from home. & Most exciting this is my family. It truly feels like home. Thank you God for quickly changing my perspective & for placing little things in my path throughout the day that remind me of home. I love this place & I love my people!

Stay tuned for my next blog to hear about my first ADVENTURE DAY(s)!!!
